Statehouse Democrats have the weekend to review resumes and applications from those interested in replacing Greta Johnson as the 35th District's representative covering parts of Summit County. The District includes Barberton and Akron's wards 6, 7, 9 and 10.
Johnson stepped down to take a job with the County.
Among the applicants: Summit Council's Tim Crawford of Norton, although he's not in the district. Summit County Magistrate Tavia Galonski, who would have to leave her job with the court under judicial rules and Barberton council members Frederick Maurer and Shannon Conrad-Wokojance.
Others include lawyers Adam VanHo, Bradford Carlton and marketing executive Aimee Cooper, Tallmadge teacher Lori Michalec, and Akron city worker Susan Culver.
Interviews will be held in Columbus next week.
