For the first time since 2008, the Golden Flashes are dancin'!
As a 14-seed, Kent State men's basketball team drew a first round match-up with number 3 seed UCLA. They're playing in the South bracket, which for some reason is playing their games out in California.
The Golden Flashes and the Bruins tipoff at 9:57 p.m. EST, Friday night. While a few from the local fan base were able to make the trip to Sacramento for the first round game, the majority were not able to.
With that in mind, Kent State University is hosting an official "watch party" on campus. The official "Hoopin' at the Hub" watch party will be held at the KSU Student Center and will feature giveaways, music, and of course cheering on the Flashes in round 1 of the tournamnet.
The University says multiple big screens will be set up around the Student Center and there will be plenty of room for everyone to comforatably watch.

Ohio State Head Baseball Coach Greg Beals joined Sam on the Sam Bourquin Show and discussed the Buckeyes 2016 Big Ten Tournament Championship. Beals discussed how the Buckeyes had to win four games in 48 hours to win the championship. Coach Beals talked about the trials and tribulations that the Buckeyes had to battle to win the championship starting with overcoming a walk off loss to Iowa. "We got walked off in the ninth inning with a three run lead against Iowa in the second round, took a punch in the gut with that loss." Beals said. Beals credited the competitive toughness, mental toughness, and ability to stay locked in on why his team over came the loss to Iowa.
The madness will conclude tonight as Villanova and North Carolina will meet in Houston tonight for the NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship.
Shelby Mast from BracketWAG.com and USA Today joined Brad Russell in the Average Sports Show Wednesday to break down the coaching matchup between Jay Wright of Nova and Roy Williams of North Carolina, and talk about the key matchups in the game.
Mast said Villanova has been able to play real well at the best time.
"After they played the way they played in the first two rounds, I was very confident they could make it to the title game," Mast said.
As far as the Tar Heels, Shelby said this has been one of Roy's better coaching jobs, given that so many top-level players are buying in and sacrificing their own game for the greater good of the team.
