An 18-year-old Brunswick High School student is under arrest after reportedly making online threats against the school.

Tyler Hrouda was arrested Monday at a local business along Pearl Road, after Brunswick Police were made aware of the threat. They contacted the school, who with the help of a resource officer and staff, were able to identify Hrouda.

Hrouda has been charged with making a false report, and in a Facebook post from the Brunswick Police Department, detectives reportedly did recover a firearm during their investigation.

The nature of the threat was not made public.

Easter Sunday went from a celebratory holiday to a local and national tragedy, where millions saw the death of Robert Godwin on Facebook.

One of the talking points were what Facebook could have done to avoid a situation like this, or if it could have been avoided at all. Mark Welfley from Welfley Technologies in Fairlawn joined the Ray Horner Morning Show to talk about the dangers that can come from apps such as Facebook or Snapchat.

Welfley shared some tips on how to ensure better online safety for kids and teens. One of those tips is to go to the Settings tab and turn off the location. Another is to guide teens on proper Internet behavior, such as controlling one’s emotions and cyber bullying.

Cleveland and Federal law enforcement officials are still on the hunt for Steve Stephens, the man who recorded himself shooting and killing 74 year old Robert Godwin of Cleveland apparently at random this weekend, and posting the video to Facebook.

Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams says they do no know where he is, and they have expanded their search outside of the Cleveland area, and throughout the Midwest. He's asking Stephens to turn himself in, and is warning family and friends that they will face charges if they help Stephens hide or evade capture.

The US Marshall's Service and FBI are assisting in the search.

Meanwhile, Robert Godwin's family and friends are asking people not to contribute to any GOFUNDME, or other online solicitations for Godwin's memorial, because they are not behind them.
