New York City suffered its worst terrorist attack since September 11th, 2001, and the suspect happens to have ties to Summit County. Sayfullo Saipov, the suspect who killed eight people and injured about a dozen with a truck, lived off Wyoga Lake Road until 2015, before moving his family to Florida.
Tim Dimoff, president of SACS Security, joined the Ray Horner Morning Show to discuss proper precautions and measures during such attacks. Dimoff says the vehicular attacks have now become a “trend,” due to how easily one can obtain a truck.
Dimoff also talked about the interrogation of the suspect, who is in the hospital but in custody. The questioning, according to Dimoff, will help track down where and when the radicalization set in by interviewing anyone Saipov had contact with.
