AUDIO STVM Off To Fast Start

The STVM Football team is off to a 2-0 start and after winning a defensive struggle against Walsh Jesuit, the Irish will prepare to face Canada Prep in Week 3.

Irish head football coach Marcus Wattley joined the Sam Bourquin Show Wednesday to talk about his club heading into the matchup with Canada Prep, saying his offensive and defensive playmakers are stepping up and showing out.

AUDIO: Dru Joyce On STVM Playoff Run

The St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish have been on a terror this season, compiling a record of 20-4 and routinely posting 70 points or more per game.

Dru Joyce, the head coach of the Fighting Irish, joined the Ray Horner Morning Show to discuss their playoff run and to preview their matchup versus Youngstown-Ursuline. Coach Joyce has a very deep team, and can play 12 guys a game, as opposed to most high school teams, who will sometimes just dress 7-9 players.

The Irish take on Ursuline on Thursday evening at the Canton Civic Center in the regional semifinals.
