He then went onto the University of Akron in May of 2008 with a degree in Radio/TV & Media Productions and a minor in Psychology. All proceeds from the event go towards community programs in Barberton as well as stroke research, as Jack Greynolds Sr, for whom this tournament is named. He passed away from a stroke in 2005.
