This week, our 1590 WAKR Student Athlete of the Week is Tayler Frame, a senior softball player at East CLC.
Tayler is a 4-year letterwinner on the softball diamond and was named the team's Most Valuable Player.
She says as a senior, being a leader is key for her team.
"I try to lead by example, and then try to give them the extra vocal help that they need if they're missing something," she says.
She's been sharpening those leadership skills as a member of the ROTC, which helps in a lot of aspects of Tayler's life.
"To be a team captain, you have to have strong leadership skills, and I think it really helps my players when I know how to better lead them," she explains.
Frame says her goals for the team this year is to continue to get better, have fun, and win a City Series championship.
In addition, Tayler is also a member of the National Honor Society and is ranked 3rd in the Class of 2017.
Upon graduation, Tayler plans on attending the University of Akron and majoring in pre-med.
We at 1590 WAKR wish Tayler the best in all of her future endeavors.
