Akron Police have arrested 35-year-old Jordan DeHaven for killing his girlfriend. 

According to the report, Amy Rowan, 41, was reported missing by her mother, whom she lived with on Darrow Road, Friday evening around 6:30. Initially, after APD had contacted DeHaven, he denied knowing anything about it. Later Friday, around 9:30 p.m., police went to DeHaven's home on Tompkins Avenue and asked if they could search the property. DeHaven reportedly consented and then confessed to stabbing Rowan to death and hiding her body in his basement. 

Police in fact found Rowan's body wrapped in a blanket in the basement. During their search they also found the murder weapon, a knife. 

The Summit County Coroner had scheduled an autopsy for Monday and DeHaven's been booked in Summit County Jail on aggravated murder charges.
