Bond has been set for David Callaghan who is charged in the murder of his ex-girlfriend whose body was found in a shallow grave in his Crouse Street home over the weekend.

During an initial appearance, that lasted just a couple of minutes in Akron Municipal Court via a live video feed from the Summit County Jail, Judge Annalisa Williams put the bond at $2 Million. 

Robin Freitag had been missing since July. Police say she was killed August 6th, and that's when Callaghan buried her body. Local authorities dug up her remains Friday in the back yard of the home at 606 Crouse Street. 

Judge Williams announced that she would appoint an attorney for Callaghan.
