Update: It's come to my attention that the story regarding the Ed Sheeran church hoax... is a hoax!!

The Portsmouth, Ohio Official page has become known for tricking the public, like when they posted the story about the Travis Tritt impersonator back in May.

The page has officially been outed through an interview you can read here

Police in Portsmouth, Ohio are looking for Ronnie Williams Jr. of Sciotoville after they say he scammed three local churces.

According to a Facebook post from the city, Williams convinced the churches that he was pop singer Ed Sheeran, saying he would perform at their churches in exchange for payment.

Last Sunday, Williams reportedly performed one of Sheeran's hits "The Shape of You" in front of a group at the Christ Community Church.

After investigating, police asked the pastor of that church why he thought that Ed Sheeran would be performing at a church in Portsmouth in exchange for 35 dollars and a sandwich... To which the pastor replied, he had just assumed Sheeran had fallen on hard times.
