Change of plans for the mass vaccination site in Summit County, as Public Health officials announced Wednesday they will not be utilizing Chapel Hill Mall after all.
Instead, the Summit County Fairgrounds in Tallmadge will be utilized for mass COVID vaccination purposes.
Public Health Commissioner Donna Skoda says there are a number of reasons for the change of venue, but mostly because of Solon-based Industrial Commercial Properties' plan to refurbish the former mall.
Chapel Hill was officially sold to ICP earlier this week. As for opening up the vaccination site at the Fairgrounds, Skoda says no official date, but they're hoping for early April.
