Akron police have arrested a suspect they allege snatched an 89 year old woman's purse as she got into her car outside the PNC Bank at 889 West Market Street, Monday afternoon.

26 year old Justin Smith is charged with robbery, and was arrested, police say, without incident in the Highland Square area. 

Police released surveillance pictures (below) earlier this week, and asked the public for tips.
