Three More Homicides in Akron Over the Weekend Featured

Akron Police are investigating three homicides in the city over the past weekend.
 
According to the report, officers responded to the 800 block of North Main Street at about 2:45 Saturday morning where they found the first victim in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. The 27-year-old man was pronounced dead on the scene.
 
Then about 9 o'clock Sunday night a 23-year-old man was shot at the Hawkins Plaza, taken to Akron General where he died an hour later.
 
Then, someone was shot in the 400 block of West Thornton Street before midnight. The third victim died about a half hour later.
 
Police have not identified any suspects in any of the most recent homicides in Akron. 
 
Per the most recent information from the Summit County Medical Examiner's office, that is 32 homicides in the city so far in 2021.
