A 19-year-old Stow man says he was meeting up with another person to sell a pair of shoes when the potential buyer shot him. 

Stow Police say the incident occurred Monday just before 7pm in the 3400 block of Adaline Drive. Authorities tell News 5 that the victim was shot in the arm before the suspect fled in a dark-colored Sedan. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The shooting is currently under investigation and the police are hoping to gather video footage of the incident. Police added the warning that if you are going to buy or sell something to a stranger make sure to meet up in a public space and let someone in your circle know where you’re going.
