He was only 16 years old when he reportedly tried to hold-up what police are calling a "gambling house" in Akron Monday night, and now he's in the hospital, shot in the abdomen, after a struggle for his gun.

Police say the attempted hold-up happened around 7:15PM Monday, at the Royal Queens Party Center in the 800 Block of Brown Street, and that they found the would-be, teenage robber on the floor with a gunshot wound.

They say a 22 year old clerk working there told them the teen walked in, brandished a gun, and got shot during a struggle over the weapon.

Police also arrested two adults connected with the operation of the alleged gambling establishment. 34 year old Billy Walker, who reportedly leases the building, and 19 year old Donovan Alexander, who manages the gambling operation, are charged with Operating a Gambling House.

Charges of Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Assault, are still pending against the 16 year old alleged robber.

In addition to shell casings, police say Detectives gathered other evidence, including gambling machines, equipment, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
