On the topic of in-person or remote education during the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Mike DeWine left those decisions up to the individual school districts, rather than making a sweeping mandate statewide. Still, that does not mean there are not risks, especially with cases rising in Ohio. Patrick Bravo heads up the school board in Akron Public Schools, and he joined the Ray Horner Morning Show to discuss the possibility of a blended education. Bravo talked about what a blended model may look like, with a mix of in-school and remote learning, and how that may be implemented. Bravo says this upcoming school board meeting will be crucial, with Summit County back in the higher risk “red” category.
