The CDC on Monday announced new guidelines for fully vaccinated folks, which include some freedoms to have small gatherings and see family.
Dr. Debbie Plate from Cleveland Clinic Akron General has appeared on the Ray Horner Morning Show weekly throughout the pandemic, and she talked on Tuesday about those guidelines and gatherings in general, from the small informal gatherings with vaccinated people to the concerns over spring break congregations. Dr. Plate says her and others in the medical community are worried about the latter, especially due to the variant strains that are present. There is also concern over the long-hauler symptoms some are dealing with months after contracting the virus.
In addition to the physical impact of COVID-19, Dr. Plate also touched on the mental health aspect and how to cope.
