It's been years since the City of Akron had any new housing developments, but now 51 new single family homes are being built in Northwest Akron, near the Zoo.

That's the upside.

But what is going to happen with downtown, once the pandemic is over? Will new housing there spur business growth that took a big hit because of COVID-19? Will people once again be willing to congregate at night spots, crowd into the ballpark, and go to big shows at Lock 3?
