Legal, Law Enforcement Experts Weigh In On Derek Chauvin Conviction Featured

On Tuesday afternoon, just after 4 PM in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all counts after the death of George Floyd in May of 2020.

A lot went into this trial, from the jury selection to the judge, due to the emotional nature of the case. Dean Carro, the president of the Akron Bar Association, joined the Ray Horner Morning Show to discuss the trial and the decision to convict Chauvin on all three counts.


Paul Viollis is the CEO of Viollis Group International, and he is also a law enforcement and security analyst for CBS News. He looked at what may change as far as how police training may and will adapt going forward, including the increase in technology with body cameras.


Tim Dimoff is the president and CEO of SACS Consulting & Investigative Services, and he shared his two cents on the police training, or lack thereof, in certain departments.
