The fallout from COVID-19 continues, from the virus itself to the response to it. It has affected both employers and employees in either keeping the doors open due to viral transmission to the staffing shortages. Ty Higgins is with the Ohio Farm Bureau, and he joined the Ray Horner Morning Show to talk about the challenges local farmers have experienced, especially lately. A fairly moist summer, Higgins says the weather has been ideal for growing crops, but the problems stem from the labor force. Higgins says it has been a struggle getting younger folks to work jobs in agriculture.
