Aaron has been working with RCRG since August of 2008 covering various news and sporting events. He graduated in 2003 from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron. He then went onto the University of Akron in May of 2008 with a degree in Radio/TV & Media Productions and a minor in Psychology. It was at WZIP & ZTV where Aaron developed a passion for radio especially Sports Radio. While attending the University of Akron you could hear Aaron on Sundays doing the "Sports Power Talk" program. Aaron covers City Hall, County Council and Akron School Board beats and handles traffic updates weekday afternoons on 1590 WAKR, 97.5 WONE and 94.9 WQMX. Austin Corbett Talks First NFL Camp

Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Austin Corbett joined the Sam and Brad Show live from Browns training camp in Berea to talk about his first camp as a rookie.

The rookie out of Nevada spoke about what he's learned alongside veterans JC Tretter and Kevin Zeitler and what it's been like as a Brown.

The Browns will be taking on the New York Giants Thursday in the first preseason game in the Big Apple. We'll have it for you on 1590 WAKR.

2018 Camp Report: Tallmadge Blue Devils

Tallmadge Blue Devils head football coach Alan Vanderink spoke with Sam and Brad during the Gridiron Gathering to talk about his team for the upcoming season.

The Blue Devils had an 8-4 mark in the 2017 season.

Your 2018 World Golf Championships- Bridgestone Invitational Winner is one of golf’s rising stars in Justin Thomas.

The Louisville, Kentucky native is currently 3rd in the World Golf rankings, capped off by a championship finish at the South Course this weekend.
 
Thomas heads into the PGA Championship this week with a great deal of momentum with a nice win here in Akron. 
 
“I take a lot of pride in how I played today,” Thomas said.  “I’m just in a great place right now mentally.”

Eight time Bridgestone Invitational champion Tiger Woods didn't have the weekend he wanted to out on the South Course, but he did recall great times of playing here at Firestone and says he'll miss the community of Akron, the people who work the event, and the fans that appreciated his play.

Tiger says he's played in Akron for over 20 years, going back to his days as an amateur.

"This is one of the classic golf courses that unfortunately, we don't get to play that often."

 

Tiger finished the final round Sunday shooting a second straight 73.

2018 Camp Report: Barberton Magics

The high school camp reports have begun as we take a trip to the Magic City of Barberton to catch up with head coach Tony Gotto and players Gavin Krska and Kionnie Dukes.

Coach Gotto talked with Sam and Brad during the Gridiron Gathering about the expectations of the season after a fantastic 2017.

Bill Bender: "Wild Ten Days" For OSU

College football writer Bill Bender spoke with Sam and Brad to talk about OSU head football coach Urban Meyer being placed on paid administrative leave in the wake of the Zach Smith domestic abuse situation.

A report from Brett McMurphy stated that Meyer knew of Smith's abuse of his ex-wife Courtney and did not take immediate action.  Meyer said he knew nothing of the allegations against Smith, who was a former receivers coach for the Buckeyes during Big 10 Media Days 10 days ago.

Day #1 Of Bridgestone Solid For Tiger

Day #1 of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational was a solid one for eight-time tournament champion Tiger Woods, who shot a 4-under 66 at the South Course Thursday.

Woods spoke with the media after his round, where he was paired up with Australian golfer and Ohio resident Jason Day.

 

American Kyle Stanley is currently in second place at 7-under par shooting a 63 at Firestone Thursday.

He too spoke with the media after his round, saying the course suits his game pretty well.

Ian Poulter is currently in the lead heading into Friday at 8-under par.

College football analyst and reporter Brett McMurphy joined the Sam and Brad Show to talk about his latest report alleging OSU head football coach Urban Meyer indeed knew about domestic violence allegations levied against Zach Smith, a former receivers coach in 2015.

He (Meyer) said during Big Ten Media Days he was unaware of any allegations or issues involving Smith and his ex-wife Courtney.
