Aaron has been working with RCRG since August of 2008 covering various news and sporting events. He graduated in 2003 from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron. He then went onto the University of Akron in May of 2008 with a degree in Radio/TV & Media Productions and a minor in Psychology. It was at WZIP & ZTV where Aaron developed a passion for radio especially Sports Radio. While attending the University of Akron you could hear Aaron on Sundays doing the "Sports Power Talk" program. Aaron covers City Hall, County Council and Akron School Board beats and handles traffic updates weekday afternoons on 1590 WAKR, 97.5 WONE and 94.9 WQMX. Tom Withers of the Associated Press joined Sam and Brad to talk about last night's win over the Pacers in Game #2 of their playoff series.

Game #3 will be Friday night in Indianapolis. You can hear it on 1590 WAKR.

 

Color Analayst for the UCLA-IMG Sports Network Matt Stevens spoke with Sam and Brad to talk about Josh Rosen for our Know Your Prospect segment.

Stevens, a former Bruin quarterback, said that Rosen is "another Aaron Rodgers" and is the best QB in the draft.

Veteran broadcaster Jay Crawford joined the Sam and Brad Show Monday to talk about his new venture doing the play-by-play for the Cleveland Browns' preseason games on News 5.

He also talked about the Cavs' loss in Game  #1 of the playoffs and how the lack of chemistry and synergy on the court is worrysome at times.

 

Jensen Lewis, fomer Tribe pitcher and current host on Indians Live on Sports Time Ohio, spoke with Sam and Brad to talk Tribe on 1590 WAKR. 

The Indians will be taking on the Minnesota Twins in Puerto Rico starting Tuesday for a quick-two game series.

UA's Kest Stepping Away From The Sideline

After 12 seasons coaching at the University of Akron, 34 overall, head women's basketball coach Jodi Kest is retiring.

She joined Sam and Brad Thursday to talk about her career and latest ventures. 

We at 1590 WAKR wish Jodi the best in all of her future endeavors. 

 

Paul Keels, the "Voice of the Buckeyes" discusses some of the notable Ohio State draft-eligible players for our Know Your Prospect segment,

 

The Board of Directors had their meetings this morning and Tim Stried from the OHSAA spoke with Sam and Brad to talk about some of the divisional breakdowns and competitive balance in boys and girls basketball.

Also Tim discussed the proposal passed during the meeting to extend the baseball season in high school athletics by one week.

Sam Amico Talks Cavaliers, 2018 Playoffs

NBA writer Sam Amico from Amico Hoops.net spoke with Sam and Brad Thursday to talk about the Cavaliers as they get ready for the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.

He also offered his thoughts on who needs to step up for the Wine and Gold during the second season. 

 

Fox Sports Ohio Golf Analyst  Jimmy Hanlin talked a little golf with Sam and Brad Thursday including the news of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational moving from the South Course to Memphis in 2019.

 He also discussed Masters winner Patrick Reed and what's next for him.
