As quickly as it started the John Beilein era in Cleveland is over.
Reports are that the Cleveland Cavaliers and the first-year head coach have agreed to part ways Tuesday.
It was a rough transition for first-time NBA coach Beilein who signed a five-year deal with the Cavs after twelve seasons at the University of Michigan. At the All-Star break, the Cavs are sitting at 14-40; worst in the East and the second-worst record in the NBA (behind the Warriors, 12-43).
Beilein is now just the third NBA coach in the past 30 years to be fired before making it to the end of his first year with a new team.
As of Wednesday night's practice, Associate Head Coach J.B. Bickerstaff is taking over the full-time head coaching duties.
