He was wearing a ski mask, had the extended magazine of a gun sticking out of his waistband, and was standing at a bus stop on in the 2100 Block of 6th Street SW about 9:00 PM Tuesday, June 13.
That’s when Akron Police say they got suspicious about 24 year old Austin Richards, and decided they needed to take a closer look.
However, once they approached; Police say Richards took off running, and they didn’t catch up with him until he hopped a fence, and discarded a bag they claim held more than 11 grams of fentanyl, a digital scale, and another gun.
Now, Richards is in custody, charged with Trafficking, Possession of Drugs, two counts of Carrying Concealed Weapons, and Obstructing Official Business.
