Akron Municipal Court Judge, Ron Cable, says he doesn't know exactly why Akron has the highest per capita eviction rate in the State of Ohio, but he does know that he wants to help both landlords and tenants find a better solution than going through what can be a costly and disruptive legal process that is often the hardest on children who get pulled out of their schools and familiar neighborhoods.

That's why he says he's hopeful about a new, $240,000 grant from the National Center for State Courts, that will be used to start a new Akron Municipal Court Eviction Diversion Program.
