One Teen Dead, Two Adults Injured In Shooting In West Akron Featured

Akron Police say what started as a verbal altercation inside the VE Poetry Cafe at 2539 Romig Road, ended up as a shooting which claimed the life of 17 year old Anthony Elliot, of Cleveland, and injured two adults.

Summit County Medical Examiners officials say after the incident started inside; those involved were escorted outside into the parking lot, and that's where the shooting occurred.

Police say when they arrived on the scene around 9:30 Sunday night; they found the 17 year old, and a 23 year old woman with gunshot wounds.

Elliot was pronounced dead Cleveland Clinic-Akron General Medical Center, and the woman, who is now in stable condition, was treated for non life-threatening wounds.

At around the same time; police say they discovered that a 32 year old man showed up at Summa Health City Hospital with a gunshot wound, that they believe is from that same incident.

At this point, they say it was an "unknown suspect" who shot all three, and now they're asking for tips to help the determine who did it.
