It’s the continuation of a family legacy for the newest member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, as Pete Nance, son of Cavs legend Larry Nance Sr. recently signed a 10-day contract with the team. 

Pete tells News5 that he has dreamed of following in the footsteps of his father, as well as his older brother Larry Nance Jr. who played for the Cavs back in 2018. Now Pete, a rookie forward who has had a good showing with the team’s G League affiliate the Cleveland Charge, says that as a lifelong Cavs fan getting this opportunity is a “dream come true.” 

Nance, a Revere High School graduate, made his NBA debut with the Cavs Saturday night, getting on the court for the final 2 minutes of Cleveland's game against the Atlanta. And while he took a couple while on court, he didn’t score. After Saturday’s victory against the Hawks the Cavs remain on the road heading to Orlando tonight to take on the Magic. Tip-off is at 7pm
