Three Shot, One Trampled Outside Akron Apartment Complex Featured

Written by

Akron Police say there was some sort of altercation early Thursday morning that led to three people getting shot, and one person being trampled in the ensuing melee, at a gathering outside the Park Lane Manor Apartment complex on Clifford Avenue, in South Akron.

All four victims suffered what police describe as "non life-threatening" injuries, with one of them; a 53 year old man, found in a parking lot with a gunshot wound to his leg.

He was taken by EMS to the hospital, but the others; a 19 year old and a 45 year old, arrived at Summa Health, Akon City Hospital on their own.

A 49 year old woman who got trampled by the crowd trying to flee the gunfire, was also treated there for her injures.

But what exactly caused the shooting, and who did it, are still unknown, and police are asking for tips.
