Student Athletes of the Week: Katie Lane & Will Butler Featured

For our Student Athlete of the Week program, we head to the eastern portion of our listening audience and meet two students from Mogadore High School.
Katie Lane is the lead runner on the Mogadore cross country team. In 2021, she took home first place at the East Canton Invitational, the Woodridge Invitational, and the PTC League Meet, and the team took home their second district title. Her success has elevated the team's success. Katie has grown by leaps and bounds each year not only talent-wise, but as a leader, and she still has two more years to go.
Will Butler is the quarterback, safety, and linebacker for the Wildcats football team, and he took home quite a bit of accolades in 2021. He was named MVP of the team, voted Offensive Player of the Year in the conference, selected to the first team All-District, and may perhaps accumulate some honors at the State level. He also led the team in both rushing on offense and tackles on defense.
