Student Athletes of the Week: Abby DiSalvo & Tate Johnson Featured

This week's athletes are from Revere High School.

Abby DiSalvo is a senior, 4-year letterman and captain on the Revere Girls Swim Team. She swims the 200 free and 100 fly and is Suburban League Champ in both those events. In addition, she is part of our two A freestyle relay teams and represented Revere at the district swim meet for 3 years. She has been named to the Suburban League 1st team 2 years, and 2nd team prior to that, and scholar-athlete all 4 years. With her 4.56 GPA, Abby is a candidate for Academic All-American and Academic All-Ohio honors. In addition to swim, Abby is president of NHS, VP of Class Council and serves on the principal’s League of Leaders. She intends to swim in college.

 
Tate Johnson is a senior, 4-year letterman and captain on the Revere Boys Swim Team. Tate is versatile swimmer and for his senior year has decided to focus on the 100 fly and the 100 breaststroke. In addition, he is part of our two A  relay teams and has represented Revere at the district swim meet since his freshman year. Tate also participated on the track team his junior year. He is a candidate for Academic All- American and Academic All-Ohio honors with his 4.53 GPA. Outside of sports, Tate is the captain and 4-year participant of the Academic Challenge team (to be aired on Saturday Feb 11th), a 4-year participant, 2-year section leader and letterman of the marching band and wind ensemble, member of NHS, and serves on the principal’s League of Leaders. Tate plans to study the philosophy and classical language and may pursue priesthood.
