Board games, beer, and coffee--all in a medieval tavern. That’s what you have to look forward to when you visit The Green Dragon in Akron, a board game bar and cafe that's having its grand opening this weekend.

The Green Dragon offers more than 750 board games for customers to play while they sip on adult beverages and coffee. The new establishment, located in Downtown Akron at 121 East Market Street, creates the feel of a medieval tavern with large wood tables and lantern lights hanging from chains. The Akron Beacon Journal says the atmosphere “is a bit like walking into a "Dungeons and Dragons" movie set meets Holiday Inn Express with a sniff of Chipotle.”

And unlike other board game bars, visitors to The Green Dragon can play for free. 

The ribbon cutting and grand opening of The Green Dragon will take place today at 4pm.
