Things are taking flight at the Akron-Canton Airport, and not just the planes. Through a partnership with the Hartville Honey Bee Farm, 60 Bee colonies now call the airport home. 

The airport tells News5 that the bee initiative is all about their ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Airport crews will care for the bees, which will hopefully boost the bee population in the local ecosystem. The airport also has plans to sell the honey collected from the colonies.
