Frank LaRose Announces US Senate Bid Featured

Written by

Ohio Republican Secretary of State, Frank LaRose, of Akron, has officially announced he's running for Senate, in hopes of unseating long-time incumbent Democrat, Sherrod Brown, in November, 2024.

But first, he'll have to beat other Republicans, which so far include Ohio State Senator Matt Dolan of Cleveland who is a part owner of the Cleveland Guardians, and car dealership owner Bernie Moreno, in the GOP primary next March.

in a campaign statement, LaRose said “Like a lot of Ohioans, I’m concerned about the direction of our country,” LaRose’s statement said. “As the father of three young girls, I’m not willing to sit quietly while the woke left tries to cancel the American Dream. We have a duty to defend the values that made America the hope of the world.”

44 year old LaRose, who has been Secretary of State since 2019, is hoping to unseat Brown, who is seeking his fourth term in office.
