Brian Nelson, who is Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro's Chief of Staff, is attending a Polymer-related business trade show in Germany this week, hoping to convince one or more of the many companies attending from all around the world, to move some of their operations to the Akron area.

While this kind of meeting used to be pretty common in the pre-pandemic era; it's kind of a new thing these days, while business is still getting back on track, and people are once again feeling comfortable enough to travel long distances to meet in crowded settings like conferences and trade shows.
