Canal Park in downtown Akron is the place to be for fun on the 4th of July!

Gates will open at 7PM, with the movie, "Little Big League" scheduled to play on the Canal Park videoboard, and those in attendance can stay to watch the City of Akron's downtown Fireworks show, which is scheduled to start at 9:45PM.

Tickets are $5, for the event, which is sponsored by the United Way of Summit and Medina.

RubberDucks President and General Manager, Jim Pfander, says they're excited to present the fireworks show, calling ita "big part of the pageantry that is Independence Day in downtown Akron" and a "perfect ending to a great holiday week at Canal Park.”
