Akron Police say two boys, ages 9 and 11, were taken into custody Tuesday morning after throwing rocks off the 27 th Street bridge over I-76 (West), just after 6:00AM.

At least nine vehicles sustained broken windshields and other damage, and one motorist; a 44-year-old male, was injured after he was struck in the eye by
shattered glass.

Police say both of the boys were later released to their parent or guardian, and the case has been referred to the Summit County Juvenile Court for review.
