There's nothing like learning that a "simple" home repair will cost you hundreds, or maybe even thousands of dollars, that will get you inspired to take matters into your own hands.
But if you're not naturally a DIY kind of person, and you don't know a screw driver from a spirit level; your path to learning can be rocky, expensive, and filled with frustration.
That's why Habitat for Humanity is offering some free, hands-on, home repair classes for women homeowners in our community.
They're being offered this coming year, from January through October, at Habitat's Re-Store location, 2301 Romig Road in Akron.
