Feds Extend Eviction Moratorium: Legal Advice for Tenants & Landlords Featured

The CDC has extended its pandemic-related moratorium on evictions from the end of this month, through the end of June.

While that's good news for cash-strapped tenants; where does that leave perhaps equally cash-strapped landlords? In addition, since it was anticipated the order was ending in just a couple of days; what happens to tenants who were already in the process of getting evicted?

WAKR Morning Show News Anchor, Jeanne Destro, talked to Akron Community Legal Aid Managing Attorney, John Petit, who says that the extension can actually be good for both landlords and tenants, but there is another legal issue to consider as well; a recent federal court ruling that the eviction moratorium is unconstitutional.
