This week's athletes are from Barberton High School.
Leah Stempfel is a Senior with a 4.45 Weighted GPA and a 4.00 Unweighted GPA. Leah is a member of the BHS VolleyballTeam and Bowling Team. She is a leader in the school and community who always has a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. Coach Walsh had this to say about Leah - “Leah is one of those players a coach loves to have on their team. She works hard at practice and games and is a leader off the court.When one of your best players is one of your hardest working players it makes your job as a coach much easier”
Aaron Miller is a Senior with a 4.33 Weighted GPA and a 3.99 Unweighted GPA. Aaron is a member of the BHS CrossCountry team. Besides being a leader on the Cross Country Team and excelling in the classroom, he also is a member of the BHS Musical Theater Department. BHS Cross Country Coach Matt Latham had this to say about Aaron – “Aaron is consistently one of our runners that continues to improve his time every time out.His hard work at practices, willingness to push himself and his teammates and his leadership makes our program strong. He is the walking definition of a student- athlete.”
