Student Athletes of the Week: Kayla Kantorowski & Andrew Naugle Featured

This week's athletes are from Coventry High School. 
 
Kayla Kantorowski is a senior and a 2 sport athlete, competing in volleyball and football cheer in the fall, and basketball cheer in the winter. Kayla is also senior class vice president, a member of key club, building advisory, and on the yearbook staff. Kayla is a varsity captain for both volleyball and cheer and she's a 3 year letter winner. This season, Kayla led the conference in digs, ending her conference season having 468 digs. Kayla has also received scholar athlete awards for the past 3 years in both sports. She is a college credit plus student for the University of Akron.

Andrew Naugle is a senior and competes in 3 sports. He plays soccer, bowling, and tennis. Andrew is also a part of his school’s Key Club, National Honors Society, and building advisory. He is a four year letterman in both soccer and bowling, and a three year letterman in tennis. Andrew has been a captain on the soccer team for 2 years, and he was named MAC and district 2nd team in 2022-23, and 1st team for both in 2024. He led the MAC in goals with 9 conference goals, and ended his senior season with a total of 18 goals and 6 assists. This past year he was also a State runner-up with his bowling team. He holds himself to a high standard in the classroom as well and has achieved a 4.46 GPA.
