In preparation for the selection of a grand jury in the Jayland Walker case, the Akron Police Department is joining with other organizations to host a Community Conversation Series. The question and answer session will cover three topics: grand juries and how they work, Akron Police use of force investigations, and how community members can safely assemble.

The event will be held Wednesday March 29th, at 6:30 pm at the New Hope Baptist Church on Hawkins Ave.

This as the Akron Beacon Journal reports that a special grand jury will be chosen April 10th in Summit County Common Pleas court to determine if charges are warranted in the police shooting death of Jayland Walker.
