Akron Police say the body of a woman found dumped near a scrapyard in Canton Township on Wednesday, is that of a suspect they have been seeking for months, in the November 20, 2022 murder of 38 year old Joseph Hall. 

Hall was found shot inside a house at 1835 Brandon Drive, and the man police allege pulled the trigger— Darrell Lee Antwan Buchanan— has been behind bars in the Summit County jail since his arrest on December 13th.

But where Suzanne Thomas, described as Halls girlfriend, has been since then; is a mystery. So too, is exactly how she died, who killed her, and who dumped her body in the 3700 block of Georgetown Road NE in Canton Township.

How exactly she fits into the crime has also not yet been revealed, and an autopsy to determine the cause of her death, is pending.
