Car Full of Donations for Non-Profits Stolen in Akron Featured

Written by

A good deed was thwarted this weekend, when a car full of donations for a non-profit was stolen from a volunteer's driveway.

According to a report from News5, the stolen vehicle was packed full of items that would be donated or auctioned off to raise money for the Halo Foundation’s Project Donate, an effort that involves more than 60 area high school students loading up items for various organizations including Valor & Liberty Home, Oak Clinic, Poor Clares, and El Salvador Mission.

Akron police tell News5 that they located the stolen vehicle about 10 minutes away from where it was taken on Massillon Road, but all the donations that were inside the vehicle were gone.

Anyone with information on what happened to the missing items, is asked to call Akron Police at 330-375-2552.
