5 Akron teens have been charged with aggravated robbery and assault after holding an 18-year-old victim up at gunpoint. 

Akron Police say the suspects, all between the ages of 13 and 17, approached the victim Saturday on West Thornton and Main Streets, demanding his property, assaulting him, and stealing his cell phone before running away. 

Police were able to quickly identify the boys and arrested them at a residence in the 700 block of Dunbar Drive, where they also recovered a handgun. The teens were later transported to the Summit County Juvenile Detention Facility.
