A drunk driver, who was traveling the wrong direction on I-76 in Akron, has been found guilty of causing a crash that killed a Canton mother.
News 5 reports that yesterday 22-year-old Jessica Skinner pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Those charges stem from the May 12, 2022 collision that left Skinner paralyzed from the waist down and killed 41-year-old Lisbeth Dayton of Canton.
Prosecutors say Skinner's blood alcohol level was more than 3 times the legal limit when she slammed head-on into Dayton’s vehicle, while driving the wrong way on I-76 West near Innovation Way.
