An Akron woman was arrested after a fight with her live-in boyfriend Wednesday night. 

Just after 11 p.m., Akron Police were called to a home in the 20 block of Royal Place. When police arrived, they found the 42-year-old male victim with a stab wound to his chest. 

The victim was transported to Akron City Hospital and was last listed in critical condition. 

Not long after the stabbing, police say 36-year-old Malika Belfield (pictured) admitted that she had stabbed her boyfriend during an argument. 

Belfield was arrested and is charged with Felonious Assault and Domestic Violence. She's been booked in Summit County Jail.
