Metro RTA Board Approves New Reimagined Network Featured

Written by

Changes are coming to Summit County’s Metro RTA, after their Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve plans for the RTA’s new Reimagined Network. Major changes include expanded weekend service, five new high frequency corridors, and 3 new 30-minute routes.

Metro RTA has been working on the Reimagined Network since 2021, and made changes based on public input. Valerie Shea, the Director of Planning and Strategic Development noted in a statement that an analysis of the changes show that there will be “great benefit to the community, with a 53% increase in job access for the median Summit County resident living near transit. This number increases to 104% for low-income residents and to 89% for People of Color.”

The new approved changes will go into effect on June 4th.
