The move to legalize marijuana in Ohio just got one step closer, as a group looking to make adult cannabis use legal says they’ve collected more than enough signatures to put the issue on the November ballot.
Fox 8 News reports that The Coalition to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol has submitted over 222,000 signatures to the Ohio Secretary of State’s office for verification. The issue which will appear on the November 7th ballot if verified will authorize marijuana possession for adults 21 and over and provide a framework for regulation and taxation.
Once on the ballot, the statewide issue would require a simple majority to pass
