Akron Police arrested a Texas couple who they say set up another man and kidnapped him in an effort to get money.
According to the report, the victim met his friend, Nicole Gaither, 47, at a bar along Arlington Street Saturday night. After some drinks the victim left around 1 a.m. Sunday morning, and was met by the female suspect's husband, Ronnie Gaither, 50, who pulled a gun and kidnapped the male victim.
Police were notified by the victim's brother around 7 a.m. Sunday after he told them he received messages demanding money, presumably from the Gaithers. About 1 p.m. Sunday, police found the victim, unharmed, at a home along East Tuscarawas Avenue in Barberton.
The Gaithers were arrested, charged with kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and abduction.

Select high school football teams across the state will be donning special Ohio National Guard-themed jerseys to kickoff their seasons this weekend, including Cuyahoga Falls High School.
The jerseys (pictured) feature a dark camouflage pattern, black numbers and lettering, with "National Guard" scrawled across the back.

(NATIONAL GUARD) COLUMBUS, Ohio - High school football teams all across the state of Ohio will be wearing special jerseys at designated games during the 2019 regular season, with help from the Ohio Army National Guard, beginning Friday. The jerseys are a dark camouflage pattern and have been approved by the Ohio High School Athletic Association for home team wear. Fairfield High School, Cuyahoga Falls High School, River View High School, and Warren High School are expected to debut the jerseys this weekend.
Fifteen people who were dealing heroin and cocaine from Mexico and California throughout the Canton area have been indicted on federal drug trafficking charges.

The U.S. Attorney out of Cleveland's reporting one of those indicted, Louis Dunson, III, 26 from Canton, is still at large.
Anyone with information on Dunson's whereabouts should call the FBI at 216-522-1400.
Former Kent State criminology student Connor Hendry, 21, who once worked for the KSU PD, was sentenced to 180 days in jail after pleading guilty to a lesser charged of Gross Sexual Imposition connected to an on-campus incident back in April of 2018.
Hendry, whose father used to work for the KSU PD, was originally charged with rape, but only months after the incident was reported.
Hendry is will have to register as a Tier One sex offender for the next 15 years and is banned from KSU campus forever.

Akron's two new fire stations are ready for the public, as Mayor Dan Horrigan's announced two open house events, both happening Thursday, September 12th.
First, Fire Station Number 2 at 952 East Market Street will be unveiled with a ribbon cutting, followed by tours starting at 10 a.m. Shortly afterwords, at 11:30 that same morning, the Mayor's inviting you to Station Number 4 at 81 W. Thorton Street. There will be a press conference that starts at 11:30, followed by its own ribbon cutting and open house.
Representatives from the Akron Fire Department, including Chief Clarence Tucker, will speak, along with Mayor Horrigan. There will also be demonstrations of hands-free CPR.
The two stations are the first to be rebuilt with the income tax increase funding from Issue 2 that was passed in 2017.
Police in Cuyahoga Falls are investigating a report of a threat made online that mentioned Roberts Middle School and a school shooting.
The Akron Beacon Journal is reporting that an all-call email alert that was sent to at least the family and staff of RMS Wednesday night; it's unclear if the entire district was notified.
The first report of a "possible threat" came in to Falls PD late Wednesday afternoon, according to the paper, but further information has not been released.
School was not canceled Thursday, but Cuyahoga Falls Police Officers were on campus early Thursday and remained throughout the entire school day.
